The Houston Texans' hopes of advancing in the playoffs were dashed on Saturday as they fell to the Cleveland Browns 36-22 in the Super Wild Card Weekend Showdown. The game, which was initially a close contest, took a drastic turn in the second half as the Browns' high-powered offense overwhelmed the Texans' defense.

One of the key factors in the Browns' victory was the outstanding performance of wide receiver Amari Cooper. Cooper set a franchise record with 265 yards receiving and scored two touchdowns, including a 2-point conversion. Quarterback Joe Flacco, who was making his fourth start for the Browns, also played a pivotal role in the win, throwing for 315 yards and three touchdowns.

The Texans, on the other hand, struggled to match the Browns' offensive firepower. Quarterback Davis Mills threw for 263 yards, but was intercepted three times. The Texans' running game was also held in check, as they managed just 93 yards on the ground.

The win moves the Browns to 3-1 with Flacco as their starting quarterback. The Browns will now face the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round of the playoffs next weekend.

Meanwhile, the loss ends the Texans' season with a 10-7 record. The Texans will now turn their focus to the offseason, where they will look to address their weaknesses and build a team that can compete for a Super Bowl in the future.
